Building on a 15-year history as one of the most popular SUVs in Germany and Europe, the new Audi Q5 marks a pivotal step forward in the evolution of Audi’s SUV lineup.

Innovative Platform and Powertrain Options:
The new Audi Q5 is the first SUV model built on Audi's Premium Platform Combustion (PPC), a flexible architecture designed to accommodate high-volume models with advanced technology. It offers both petrol and diesel engines, which have been refined with MHEV (Mild Hybrid Electric Vehicle) plus technology for improved fuel efficiency and reduced emissions. The PPC platform's flexibility allows for the integration of diverse powertrain options, from traditional combustion engines to hybrid variants.

Audi’s CEO, Gernot Döllner, emphasizes the significance of the Q5 in the company's strategy, stating: "The new edition of the successful model marks the next important step in the rejuvenation of our portfolio. As the second model of our new generation of highly efficient combustion engines, it embodies our commitment to offering future-proof premium mobility."

Versatility and Practicality: Designed for Everyday Use:
The Audi Q5's interior has been redesigned to enhance space, comfort, and practicality. It features a fully adjustable rear seat that can be moved lengthways and tilted to increase trunk volume or enhance rear passenger comfort. With the rear seats folded down, the cargo capacity expands to an impressive 1,473 liters, making it ideal for both everyday commutes and long-distance travel.

Additional storage solutions have been thoughtfully integrated throughout the cabin, including a larger compartment under the center armrest, smaller storage spaces for everyday items like sunglasses and keys, and an inductive, cooled charging tray with 15 watts of power. Front USB-C ports offer charging capacities of up to 60 watts, while rear ports support up to 100 watts, enabling larger devices like laptops to charge safely while on the move.

Exterior Design: Sporty and Confident:
The new Audi Q5 boasts a sportier and more dynamic exterior design. The vehicle's proportions have been optimized to convey a powerful, agile stance, with a taut shoulder line that connects the front and rear lights, enhancing the vehicle's length. The design language is further accentuated by a rising line over the wheel arches and into the rear bumper, giving the Q5 a dynamic appearance even when stationary.

The front fascia features a wider, more prominent Single frame grille flanked by vertical air curtains, which serve both functional and aesthetic purposes. The headlights, sculpturally shaped and sharply defined, add to the SUV's confident and focused look. At the rear, the design is streamlined with a three-dimensional light strip that spans the vehicle's width, giving it a sleek, modern appearance. The integration of functional tailpipes varies depending on the engine configuration, offering double square or rectangular tailpipes for diesel and petrol engines, respectively, while the S model sports iconic quad tailpipes

Audi offers three distinct versions of the Q5: the basic, advanced exterior, and S line exterior trims. Each trim level offers unique design elements, such as larger air intakes in the S line and a more aggressive rear diffuser in the S model. Customers can choose from eleven colors, including Arkona White, Glacier White, Mythos Black, Floret Silver, Navarra Blue, and the new Tambora Gray. For those seeking an even more personalized touch, Audi exclusive offers custom paint finishes to suit individual preferences.

The Q5 is available with alloy wheels ranging from 17 to 21 inches, with options for aerodynamically optimized wheels for improved performance. The S line exterior and S model come standard with 19-inch wheels, while forged 21-inch wheels are available as an option.

Interior Design: A Balance of Technology and Comfort:
Inside, the new Audi Q5 offers a refined and user-centric interior design that combines functionality and aesthetics. The interior is designed around the "Digital Stage," featuring a 14.5-inch MMI touch display and an 11.9-inch Audi virtual cockpit, providing intuitive access to infotainment, navigation, and vehicle settings. The available 10.9-inch MMI Passenger Display allows front passengers to interact with the system without distracting the driver, enhancing the overall user experience.

Material choices in the cabin reflect Audi's commitment to sustainability and luxury. The seats feature diamond quilting, with options for Kaskade textile upholstery and Dinamica microfiber, both of which incorporate recycled materials. High-quality finishes, such as high-gloss black controls and aluminum accents, further elevate the sense of refinement and comfort.

Advanced Lighting Technology: Setting New Standards:
Audi continues to push the boundaries of lighting design with the new Q5, introducing second-generation digital OLED combination rear lights and an active digital light signature. The lighting system not only enhances safety with proximity detection and Car-to-X communication but also offers unparalleled levels of customization. Up to eight digital light signatures are available, allowing drivers to personalize the appearance of their Q5.

The dynamic interaction light (IAL) inside the cabin supports vehicle interaction, offering welcome and safety functions. Additionally, the ambient lighting package plus creates a visually stunning and comfortable environment, emphasizing the width of the interior with carefully placed lighting elements.

Performance and Driving Dynamics: Efficient Yet Powerful:
The Audi Q5 is available in three engine versions at launch, each featuring the MHEV plus technology. The entry-level 2.0 TFSI petrol engine delivers 150 kW (204 PS) with 340 Nm of torque, while the 2.0 TDI diesel engine provides 150 kW (204 PS) and 400 Nm of torque. The top-of-the-line Audi SQ5 features a 3.0-liter V6 TFSI engine producing 270 kW and 550 Nm of torque, ensuring a thrilling driving experience.

All models come standard with a 7-speed S tronic dual-clutch transmission, providing smooth and responsive gear shifts. The MHEV plus system includes a 48-volt electrical architecture that supports the combustion engine, reduces CO2 emissions, and enhances overall performance. The system also allows for purely electric maneuvering and parking under certain conditions, contributing to greater fuel efficiency.

Aerodynamics and Acoustic Comfort:
Audi has optimized the aerodynamics and aeroacoustics of the new Q5 with a range of innovations. A clad underbody, aerodynamically designed front and rear sections, and air curtains minimize turbulence around the wheels, reducing drag and improving fuel efficiency. Acoustic glazing is standard on the windshield and optional for the front side windows, enhancing interior quietness for a more comfortable driving experience.

Infotainment and Connectivity: A Modern Operating Concept:
The Q5 is equipped with the E³ 1.2 electronics architecture, providing state-of-the-art connectivity and digitalization features. This platform supports future updates and ensures that the vehicle remains technologically relevant throughout its lifecycle. Audi's MMI system offers seamless integration with smartphones, enhanced voice controls, and a range of connected services that make daily driving more convenient and enjoyable.

Conclusion: A Future-Ready SUV for Every Journey:
The new Audi Q5 combines dynamic design, versatile functionality, advanced technology, and a range of powertrain options to meet the needs of modern drivers. It sets new standards in the midsize SUV segment, offering a blend of sporty aesthetics, luxurious comfort, and future-proof technology. With its innovative platform, efficient engines, and advanced features, the new Audi Q5 is poised to continue its success story in the years to come.
