Mercedes Benz 220d 9G-TRONIC

The Mercedes Benz C-Class is the most successful model from Mercedes Benz and the new C-Class range boasts quite a lot of new features, in fact new front and rear bumpers, side skirts, wheel options and a new rear diffuser. The headlights and taillights have also been updated, gaining LED technology as standard fitment, these are just a few of the things Mercedes Benz have updated to the new C-Class and in my opinion the build quality within the entire C-Class range has arguably improved.

This diesel C-Class has tough competition in the segment with the BMW G20 320d right up on its heels, however Mercedes Benz has quite a very smooth ride as opposed to the firm BMW and the option for an air suspension should return even greater satisfaction from the ride quality. I drove the firm C220d AMG Line Package and I have to say that the ride quality was still comfortable over any bumps unlike in the BMW G20 320d Msport which was very stiff and I could quite feel some bumps. The C220d makes for a perfect daily companion as it is very easy to live with for both the driver and the passengers, parking aids in the vehicle make very easy to manoeuvre and to park with the help of the Rear camera, front and rear PDC (Park distance control) as well as the electrically-adjustable heated side mirrors Mercedes Benz have gone the distance to ensure that you have less scratches and more smiles.

There are some significant updates which has been made, with a version of Mercedes’ new MBUX system available, as well as the optional new 12.3-inch infotainment display and a 10.25-inch free-standing infotainment display. You can now also spec the C220d with a digital cluster should you fancy it else you can still get the analog dials, the steering wheel also features touch pads for controlling displays and there have also been some minor trim updates as well.
The best or nothing indeed.
