Month 2 with the Suzuki Grand Vitara GLX: Long Term Review

As we hit the two-month mark with the Suzuki Grand Vitara Hybrid, it's clear that this SUV continues to impress in several key areas, though there are a few quirks worth mentioning. After clocking over 1,000 kilometres, primarily in urban settings, the Grand Vitara's fuel economy is currently averaging 6.7L/100km. While this figure is respectable for a vehicle of this size, We are hoping to see some improvement as the engine settles in and we spend more time on the open road.

Inside the cabin, the comfort level remains one of the Grand Vitara's standout features. The seats are soft yet supportive, making long drives feel less fatiguing. The spaciousness, coupled with the thoughtful design of the interior, ensures that the driving experience is as enjoyable as it is comfortable.

On the tech front, the wireless Apple CarPlay continues to be a breeze to use, offering seamless integration and easy navigation. However, We have encountered some issues with Android Auto, which frequently disconnects when not plugged in. This could be an isolated issue with our unit, but it's something to note.

As we approach the first service milestone, We’ll be booking the Grand Vitara in at our local Suzuki dealer. This will be an excellent opportunity to assess Suzuki’s after-sales service and how they handle routine maintenance. We will be sure to report back on this in the next update.

Overall, the Suzuki Grand Vitara Hybrid is proving to be a solid long-term companion, with a few minor tech glitches that are easily outweighed by its comfort, practicality, and efficient performance. Let's see how it continues to fare in the months ahead.
