New Jaguar F-PACE

Exterior

An enlarged grille which features Jaguar’s heritage logo-inspired ‘diamond’ detailing, a new sculpted bonnet with a wider power bulge and smoother, more precisely defined surfaces, A new front bumper with redesigned air intakes and dark mesh details visually widen the new F-PACE for a more assured dynamic presence, New super slim all-LED quad headlights with ‘Double J’ Daytime Running Light (DRL) signatures.

These are just some of the changes the F-PACE has undergone at the front. 

At the rear, new slimline lights feature Jaguar’s double chicane graphic – first previewed on the all-electric I-PACE and now also on the new F-TYPE

The new bumper design and sculpted new tailgate make the F-PACE appear more sporty, there has also been new exhaust pipe which mirrors those of its cousin the Range Rover Velar.

Interior

The new cockpit design is bolder, more dynamic and with a greater focus on the driver. There is a huge centrally-mounted 11.4-inch curved-glass HD touchscreen in an elegant magnesium alloy casing, which controls the new Pivi Pro infotainment system. The screen is now reportedly three times brighter and 48% larger than the previous 10-inch screen.

The F-PACE also features a new 12.3-inch HD Interactive Driver Display which can be used by drivers to configure the layout which can show full-screen navigation mapping with turn-by-turn instructions, digital dials, media, contact list or infotainment details. As part of the driver-focused system, the latest Head-up Display technology is available in the new F-PACE.

New wider cushioning seats have been placed in the new SUV and they feature new massage functions and enhanced coverage of the heated and cooling areas. In selected models, you will find an embossed Jaguar Leaper, while a set of ‘Est.1935 Jaguar Coventry’ upholstery tags highlight the brand’s heritage.

Engines

All F-PACE models feature intelligent all-wheel drive which is rear-wheel biased and eight-speed automatic transmissions which can be controlled using the steering wheel shift paddles for added driver engagement.

The new engine line-up in South Africa comprises of diesel and petrol engine and customers can choose from S, SE R-DYNAMIC and HSE R-DYNAMIC trim levels. 

Diesel

  • 147kW 2.0-litre four-cylinder turbo, eight-speed automatic, AWD
  • 221kW 3.0-litre six-cylinder turbo, eight-speed automatic, AWD

Petrol

  • 184kW 2.0-litre four-cylinder turbo, eight-speed automatic, AWD
  • 297kW PHEV 2.0-litre four-cylinder turbo, eight-speed automatic, AWD

The Jaguar F-PACE comes with the latest JaguarDrive Control feature with four modes:

  • Comfort
  • Eco
  • Rain-Ice-Snow 
  • Dynamic 

These modes can be chosen manually by the driver based on the road conditions using the new rotary dial next to the all-new Drive Selector.

Pricing

The new Jaguar F-PACE is scheduled for South African launch early 2021 and pricing will be announced closer to the time.
