The Next-Gen Ford Ranger has been named the Best 4x4 & Pick Up by Women's World Vehicle of the Year

The Women's World Vehicle of the Year judges have named the Next-Generation Ford Ranger as the "Best 4x4 & Pick-up," making it the most adaptable and capable Ranger yet.

The only all-female jury in the automotive industry, consisting of 63 female motoring journalists from 45 nations on five continents, selects the Women's World Vehicle of the Year. South African Charleen Clarke, a past South African Commercial Vehicle Journalist of the Year and associate member of the International Truck of the Year panel, is one of the female jurors and shares her expertise with the group.

Six categories of vehicles are evaluated for their performance, comfort, technology, design, efficiency, environmental effect, and overall value. The judges praised Ranger as a "reliable, stylish, and charismatic pick-up" and expressed their admiration for its range of skills (‘It travels across any surface with ease; It has the same efficiency as an off-road vehicle but is more useful because it has a cargo box.’).

The Ranger line-up includes the capable Basic model and the ultimate performance pickup, the Ranger Raptor. Over 5,000 interviews and dozens of customer workshops resulted in the development of new features and technologies, which ensure that the most recent model of Europe's best-selling pickup [MJ(1] meets the needs of a wide range of users. These features and technologies include a high-tech digital interior, useful sliding load restraints, clamp mounts, and a built-in ruler that transforms the tailboard into a workbench.

On March 8, 2023, International Women's Day, the Next-Gen Ranger will now compete for the overall prize, and the winner will be revealed on the Women's World Car of the Year YouTube channel at 12:00 CET.

The Next-Gen Ranger has been chosen as a finalist in the 2023 South African Car of the Year competition, adding to its amazing collection of honours.
