The updated i30N is a thrilling car to look at with its sporty design and details on this car really embodies everything I love about hot hatches. The performance car comes with an option of five exterior paint choices including atlas white, ignite red, phantom black, Dark Knight Gray Pearl and performance blue which is a definite winner for me and stands out on the road. Every element was considered when it comes to looks in the creation of the i30N enhanced LED position lamp and Rear spoiler with LED HMSL. The i30 N’s Performance Package includes a newly developed set of 19-inch forged alloy wheels.

The new i30 N features sporty, metal pedals and Performance Blue stitching. The interior comes in one-tone Black with artificial suede and leather seats.

The interior is sporty, updated, and comfortable as well, coming with convenience features such as a 10.25” touch screen Infotainment System with Apple CarPlay & Android Auto, front and rear parking sensors, tinted windows, sunroof, wireless phone charging, cruise control and privacy glass. Uncompromised comfort with heated steering wheel and heated front seats. Designed to suit your luxurious lifestyle, the i30N is as stylish furnished with leather and suede seats!

Powered by a 2.0L 4-cylinder petrol engine producing 206kW/392 Nm connected to the eight-speed DCT auto to deliver the power smoothly to the front wheels. You cannot fault it when it comes to performance, it can turn an ordinary motorist into a petrolhead with that magnificent exhaust valve system. The car can sprint 0-100 in just 5.4-secs and has a top speed of 250 km/h. If you want to have some fun, you just activate N Grin Shift and N Power Shift which allows for an over-boost function to nail those traffic light drag races.

The spoiler creates downforce and excellent balance, while the rear lamps have also been updated and feature a new LED signature.

Keep your cool behind the wheel of the new i30 N, suspension and steering systems have been mended, resulting in improved ride and handling performance for both transmission types. The new suspension settings include a -1,5-degree negative camber, new dampers, new springs, new bump stops, and an adjusted kinematic layout.

Smarter safety systems to give you peace of mind and effortless control include 7 airbag systems, lane follow assist, Rear Cross Traffic Alert, Blind Spot Collision-Avoidance Assist as well as Fatigue Detection/Driver Attention Warning.

It can be used daily and then transformed at the push of a button for racetrack driving on the weekend. The design is fit for the younger generation. This is a car that breaks stereotypes.

What does the 'N' stand for?

What does the 'N' Stand For?

Hyundai ‘N’ stands for Namyang, Hyundai Motor’s global R&D Centre in Korea, where the idea was born, and for the Nürburgring, home to Hyundai Motor’s European Test Centre, where the N line-up was further developed and tested.

Each component used in the i30 N makes Hyundai Motor’s first high-performance vehicle more agile and dynamic. This is what the Hyundai N lineup stands for: the N-badged Hyundai focuses on taking the vehicle beyond its role of being just a means of transportation. It offers the customer the thrill and excitement of driving a high-performance car and becoming one with the car as it moves through corners at speed.

Price starts from R749 900 with a seven-year/200 000 km warranty and a service plan; with roadside assistance for 150 000 km.
