New Range Rover Pricing
Land Rover has released pricing for the new Range Rover, which will go on sale in South Africa in the middle of 2022. The fifth-generation Range Rover will be offered in four, five, or seven-seat configurations, as well as Standard and Long Wheelbase body styles. The new luxury SUV will be available in HSE, Autobiography, and premium SV trim levels, with a limited-edition First Edition available during the first year of production. The First Edition is based on the Autobiography and will be available in a Sunset Gold Satin finish, as well as five other different exterior colours.
There will be three powertrain options, including upgraded six- and eight-cylinder engines, as well as a new Extended Range Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicle (PHEV). The New Range Rover is the first Land Rover to be powered by a new 4.4-litre V8 engine, codenamed P530 to reflect its horsepower output. With Dynamic Launch enabled, this engine delivers 390kW and 750Nm of torque and propels the SUV from 0-100km/h in 4.6 seconds to a top speed of 250km/h. This is in fact the same engine we see in the BMW X5 M50i G05, which has the exact same power output as well.
Thanks to a strong 3.0-litre straight-six turbodiesel, the D350 producing 257kW and 700Nm of torque, will accelerate the new Range Rover from 0 to 100 km/h in 6.1s.
The new Extended Range P510e PHEV blends Land Rover's 375kW in-line six-cylinder Ingenium petrol engine's natural refinement with a 38.2kWh lithium-ion battery and a 105kW electric motor integrated with the gearbox. The powertrain enables up to 113 kilometres of near-silent pure-electric driving, and the new P510e accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.6 seconds thanks to immediate electric torque.
