The cross over SUV from the Japanese automaker has received some visual and safety updates. The updates will be made to the top-of-the-line Luxury grade.

Style

The Toyota CH-R's updates are built onto the existing facelift model which was released in 2020. Owners can now look forward to sequential turn indicators and unique light-cluster treatment. The dramatic Y-shaped light guides are paired with high-intensity Bi-beam LED light clusters with integrated Daytime Running Lights (DRL). The foglamps in turn have also been upgraded to LED spec.

At the rear, the tail lamps have also been given a nip and tuck, with a dramatic three-segment LED design which is complemented by smoked light surrounds and a horizontal cross-section that extends across the tailgate.

Spec & Features

Features are aplenty with the Luxury model offering keyless entry, push start operation, auto-retractable side mirrors, rain-sensing wipers and an auto-dimming rear-view mirror. Park Distance Control (PDC), automatic climate control, heated seats, Multi-Information Display, a touchscreen audio system with CarPlay/Android Auto functionality and luxurious leather interior (with diamond motif) round it off.

The Toyota Connect in-car telematics and Wi-Fi system (with complimentary 15GB) is naturally included.

More Safety Tech

In addition to the style, Toyota has also enhanced the safety of the CH-R by upgrading the Toyota Safety Sense (TSS) with the addition of an all-speed Adaptive Cruise Control while the Lane Departure Alert system now boasts Lane Trace functionality. Lane Trace Assist ensures that the system will not only help avoid unplanned lane departure but assist with centring the vehicle within the lane while following the natural arc of the road. These features are in addition to the existing Pre-Collision System, Auto High Beam, Rear Cross Traffic Alert and Blind Spot Monitoring - as part of the TSS suite.
